Travelling outta NJ

Chances are remarkably good that I'll be in Atlanta in August (after county Jury Duty here in Frelling Newark, yuck)  and September.

What happens beyond that is still beyond me right now.

Frankly, I ask anyone who'd read this for networking and so forth.

my email is benjamin (dot) adler at gmail no spaces.

I'm sorry. This is just err, dead-on hilarious.

I'll be writing a post about some changes I've been making soon enough.

Gloriously working on the deck staining outdoors while listening to Jellyfish - Bellybutton and Spilt Milk.

Dentists love/hate this stuff, cause it's the purest essence of brilliant SMARTPOWER pop.

Last.fm says they've got less than 500 k listens ever.

I think that's sad.

There's also an insane 4-cd boxset called appropriately after the Spilt Milk song, Fan Club (long out of print and deleted):

Find em here:

Also, I finally took [info]eventhewaves 's advice and got a copy of Bat For Lashes's Two Suns.

Frelling brilliant that too.

Middleman Earth?
I've been catching up with both the Ron Moore era BSG and the Twilight books.

Almost done with both (not yet started volume 4 of either).

Neither are very good, but there are glimmers of promise on the edges, even when the main storyline is a bunch of bologna.

What I like about Twilight and could happily read more of? That would be the premise around the patriarch character Carlysle Cullen - A Vampire physician at a local hospital with incredible self-control.

Why not base a series around THAT?

About BSG - Season 3 was a bunch of crap. Season 2 was mediocre to fair at best. I don't really get WHY I'm finishing the series. But I am. The Razor film with Stephanie Jacobsen, later of The Sarah Conner Chronicles, was pretty decent.

No idea what to look at next or listen to once I'm done. Any suggestions?

Note, my regular computer has decided again to go bad. It's not the least bit new. And maybe 7 years outside of warranty mumbo-jumbo.

That's it for now

Thanks to Marared . . .

Livejournal is possibly going the way of the buffalo (that's not why I'm thanking Jaime) in this wonderfully wrestched economy.

Kimpy pointed her own alternative to an account at http://www.insanejournal.com, which is pretty much an exact clone of LJ.

I have done the same.

My account name there is benmech  of course, but do not expect that to be in use unless there really IS LJ trouble, and even then, you know how often I blog.

For any little asshole out there who says the Beatles were overrated, I submit this treasury trove.

Hot damn!

George was always my favorite of the four, and there's enough evidence to prove that here.

watched MOST OF The Incredible Hulk last night, but my dvd copy was scratched, so I missed chapters 10 and 11. No real loss.

Couldn't finish the movie and I had lost all interest previous to that point.

I don't understand why the They at Marvel decided to make it.

I missed whatever cameos were made by Sam Jackson and Bob Downey Jr. Oh well. I'll see em again in Ferrous Beast 2 soon enough.

Also - I urge the "you" who ever see my blogs to watch the BBC troupe comedy series The League of Gentlemen. Calling it comedy may be incorrect, as the humour of the blackest of morbid black. Blacker than anything Nigel Tufnel would think of. Murder, hints of cannibalism, incest, disease, Revenge, etc.

As they say on the sign entering the town - "Welcome to Royston Vasey - You'll NEVER Leave"

"The big news that will obviously be the catalyst of this piece is that he informed me that all of the things that preceded his breakdown a couple of years ago including the dismissal of [singer Timo] Kotipelto from the STRATOVARIUS ranks and the addition of female vocalist Miss K as well as his stabbing, turning to Kabala and getting pissed on by [keyboardist] Jens [Johansson] during one of their performances were all staged publicity stunts. In fact, he says that the only truth of any of it was his breakdown that occurred from the feeling that he had betrayed himself and the fans and that the amount of negativity that arose from these stunts were too much for him to handle"

So yeah. Timo is officially a LIAR and a bad actor.

Fringe?

Meh. They've already started ripping off HEROES. I have little use for JJ Abrams normally. I gave Cloverfield and MI3 a chance, and yet. Ehh. So much of nothing there.

Heroes?

Haven't watched the 2 episodes so far. Scared to somewhat

Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles?

it's like bad pizza. You can return to it, even when you know you should just throw it away and maybe find something from somewhere else.

Stuff on the CW:

Yeah, I admit it - I'm a Gossip Girl fan. That show knows how ridiculous it is. Sadly keeping aware of 90210, even though I shouldn't.

Cable:

I miss The Middleman

I like Rachel Maddow.

SNL opens the new season exactly as they should have - Tina Fey as Sarah P and Amy Poeler as Hillary.

Of course, the tone is NOT SYMPATHETIC

just back from a screening of TDK, and I am not in the least disappointed.

I won't sleep well though.

This has left some NASTY earwhigs crawling around.

One more thing - everyone RAISED THE GAME ITSELF, cast, crew, marketing, studio. Everybody.

Talk more later.

Oh Brian -

ART CRAWL!!!!
